Ekholms Shampoo is a fine tar-based shampoo with herbs that cleanses, restores, and soothes skin irritation. It can be used for pets and humans.
This shampoo is suitable for both regular washing and as a spot treatment in specific areas before applying healing products such as Prop cream or Oil. It leaves a clean, soft, and shiny coat with a beautiful luster.
Ekholms Shampoo does not contain degreasing agents or bleaching agents and can be used on pregnant and nursing animals as well as their offspring. It does not dry out skin or coat and can be used on even the most sensitive animals.
Many dog owners have used Ekholms Shampoo against flea infestations by washing the dog three days in a row, as fleas do not like the tar in the product. However, the surroundings must also be treated, as the shampoo does not kill the fleas. The product is non-toxic and approved for human use.
Usage:
Washing without skin issues: Wet the coat, mix shampoo and water in a bucket/bowl, and massage the shampoo well into the coat and rinse out.
Washing with skin issues: Start the treatment with Ekholm's Shampoo. Wet the coat, and add shampoo (mixed with a little water in a bucket/bowl). Wash thoroughly and massage to remove old skin cells and any residues. Let the shampoo sit for 20-30 minutes and rinse out.
After washing, you may see large flakes and skin scales falling off - this is a good sign that the skin is repairing itself. Brush the coat with a clean brush or comb when it is dry. Repeat the washing as needed.

This shampoo is restorative and can be used on the horse's mane and tail or as a "cleaning" step before treating MUD with PROB CREAM. It can also prevent and relieve summer itching in the mane and tail and is combined with good results alongside EKHOLM SUMMER DEODORANT and EKHOLM Oil.
